My credentials
I’ve worked in many complex cases –precontentious and contentious-, defending the interests of my clients, both individuals and national and international companies from different sectors such as profesional sports, audiovisual, finance, insurance, civil engineering, construction, food retail, telecommunications or cosmetics. I’ve walked these clients through commercial, civil, bankruptcy, liquidation, contractual and non-contractual situations, judicial proceedings included.
These are some examples of the most complex cases I have worked in:
Carrefour
Case date: 2008 - 2011
Around one hundred civil and commercial proceedings around Spain, with an immense variety of subject matters, b2b and b2c: contractual liability, tort constructor and promotor liability, leasings, trademarks, etc.
Liga profesional de fútbol
Case date: 2014 - 2016
La Liga Nacional de Fútbol Profesional (2014-2016): Interim measures inaudita parte were requested before the Madrid Commercial Courts by the Real Murcia Football Club in 2014, when they were downgraded to the Spanish Soccer Third Division (“2ªB”). Even if they were initially granted and the team kept category, my colleagues in Hebert Smith and myself were able to reverse them. Then, the team filed for a civil compensation in tort for 32 million Euros. We reached and satisfactory settlement, and the claimant withdraw the claim, after filing our statement of defence. Estée Lauder
Case date: 2010 - 2011
We acted on behalf of the company, with El Corte Inglés as co-defendants, before the civil courts in Linares (Jaén), concerning a residual civil liability as a result of a crime or misdemeanor case suffered by one of its employees. We won the case -the claim was dismissed for our client due to lack of passive legal standing- after a record 7 hours trial.
Axa
Case date: 2008 -2011
We advocated for Astroceres Inversiones 2005, S.L., an AXA client, that was an investment company owning some commercial assets in Albacete. We successfully acted on its behalf in more than 20 b2b eviction and breach of leasing agreements proceedings there.
Telemadrid
Case date: 2009
